DESCRIPTION OF ROLE

We are looking for a Pre-Commissioning Engineer to be part of "Project Engineers” discipline within "Engineering Department". You will be responsible for flushing, flooding, cleaning, gauging, in-line inspection, leak testing and hydrotesting, dewatering, drying, conditioning, purging and vacuum of flexible and rigid pipelines, jumpers as well as all tests required to guarantee the proper transport, installation and pull-in of subsea umbilicals, EFLs & SFLs. The duties encompass onshore (office, fabrication yard and logistics sites) engineering and preparation of the project with further support to the offshore crew during the operation, including offshore activities onboard Subsea 7’s and Third Parties’ vessels. The position shall insure the interface with the Client, suppliers, the offshore crew, design team, fabrication, planning, logistics and SCM.

SPECIFIC KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Your main responsibilities will be:

Produce pre-commissioning philosophies and method statements;
Review all pre-commissioning procedures;
Assist during tender process by producing pre-commissioning scope of works;
Perform appraisal and follow-up of sub-contractors;
Design/procure/use pigs, PLRs, pressure caps, hotstabs and valves, downlines, chutes, isolation plugs, etc.;
Pre-commissioning cost knowledge and cost driver awareness;
Join vessel mobilization as well as pre-commissioning phases onboard the vessel in order to validate technical solutions respecting HSEQ rules;
Warrant that your activities are conducted in compliance with the project standards in terms of quality, cost & time.

Requisitos e qualificações

CAPABILITY PROFILE

Engineering Degree with at least 5 years minimum of relevant experience in offshore industry;
Good communication skills in English (written and spoken);
Ability to lead and function within multiple disciplines of knowledge;
Experience in pipeline and umbilical pre-commissioning scopes (if possible);
Experience of working onsite and offshore as part of a project team;
Further knowledge is desirable (not mandatory) in the following subjects:
Subsea valves and connection systems;
Subsea production and control system;
Operability and flow assurance;
General SURF installation;
Planning.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is carried out in Porto do Rio’s office;
Local and international travelling might be necessary;
Offshore/off-site location during project execution phases as required.
